January 21, 2007: I regret that, for personal and medical reasons I have not been able to put my mind to regular updates since my heart surgery last December. Most of the photo updates are photos submitted by Sandra Arnold of our sister church and which I uploaded to "My Photos" at this address. There is a minor incovenience with this setup in that you may occasionally be asked to enter your username and/or your Rogers password. Aliant and other users will need to sign up as members. I wasn't aware of this inconvenience and I trust it is easy to do and that it does not impose any problems on Aliant customers. If you browse through the various albums on the above-mentioned My Photos page, you will find that ten or eleven of them (grouped together) are events from St. Andrew's Church. The most recent are last month's Confirmation Service and the gathering in the hall afterwards. Sorry for the poor colour and lighting of the pictures in the hall. Santa Claus brought us a small slave flash which should increase the camera range to at least 8 meters which should help a bit. Thank you again for your patience and understanding. God being willing, I will try to make up for lost time over the winter months ahead.

December 16,2005: Note from Web Master. Thank you to all who prayed for me, sent cards, made personal visits in Grand Falls or St. John's, or who helped in so many ways duing my recent hospitalization and quadruple bypass. God has brought me through and, as always, He will prevail. Glory to Him. Because one of us is down does not necessarily mean he is out. Thaanks again. For now we're on the road to recovery taking one day at a a time. Arch

November 13, 2005: It has come to my attention that the java menu buttons in the left frame of our web site do not normally work with Windows XP. For that reason I am now using the menu version without java buttons until I can get around to upgrading to a new java menu that will also work with the newer version of JVM supplied by Sun Microsystems. The same problem with incompatibility applies to the "previous" and "next" buttons in the photo album and elsewhere on our site. Only an "X" will appears where the button should be. Thank you for your patience until we modify the code to include compatible java buttons.

.August 30, 2005: For your convenience, we have changed the photo album button link in the left frame of the web page so that it now opens on or near the most recent page of photos (last page of the album) instead of the first. If you want to view earlier pictures, please keep clicking the red previous buttons on the left of each album page, or click a page number on the number bars on top of any album page.
August 30, 2005: We have purchased a more advanced 7.2 digital camera. Hopefully, an improvement in image quality (from the previous 2 megapixel camera) will be noticeable in future pictures on the site. If you want to download a sample 7.2 megapixel image of the church click here. (Note: This 4 megabyte file will take too long to download except for a very fast Internet connection.).
