Selena Parsons, Rev. Dennis Newhook (Rector), Gertrude Thorne
This morning was a special Canadian Bible Society Sunday Service. Selena invited long-time Bible Society Member, Gertrude Thorne (also see closer photo). Gertrude gave a presentation to the congregation on behalf of the Society. Gertrude described the work of the Bible Society both locally and also nationally and internationally. She read the scripture, Matthew 13: 1 - 9 (The Parable of the Sower). Gertrude compared the work of the sower as described in Matthew to the work of the Canadian Bible Society in spreading God's word throughout the world. Donations were accepted to the Canadian Bible Society at offering time. A brunch was served at the conclusion of the service. Thank you to Gertrude Thorne for coming and to Rev.
