History of St. Andrew's

Before the building existed in Bishop's Falls back in the early part of the 20th century, services used to be held in what was known as the Albert Hall which was loaned by the G. Albert Reid Company. The people of the town wanted a church, though, and, as a result of meetings held back in January of 1921 a committee was formed including a group of 20 ladies and 14 gentlemen. As a result of fund raising carried out by this committee, funds were raised and the construction was started in August of the same year. The church was completed in Dec 11.
